I have been involved in a number of checkout projects, the largest being for Estée Lauder Companies rollout of a their new platform checkout, for which I was asked to collaborate with the global product team for the proposed Global Checkout UX.
This involved me reviewing historical research, performing competitor analysis, designing User Flows for each customer journey and designing the proposed improvements and UI.

My improved and streamlined UX recommendations enabled the bag to confirmation steps to be reduced improving the overall time of checkout. Content removed/reduced for less distraction and cleaner UI more simplistic and effective user experience. My team had also already provided UX Research on checkout for the UK sites which was valuable data to assist with the decisions.
This final checkout version was then built and tested on one of the sites and then rolled out across 141 websites globally. Outcomes were a large reduction of overall time taken to checkout and previous pain points were resolved with improved UI. Lower exit rates and higher conversions.
You can view how I presented my recommendations for improvements to the US UX and the iterations needed for the UK.
