Bobbi Brown wanted a sales driving promotional tool so we came up with a glitter globe idea as it was launching late November and this also linked well with their seasonal campaign imagery ( party lights and gold glitter). To do this quickly we would combine this highly creative visual experience with a product that we had already built which was effectively a simple randomiser game.
The Randomizer
We decided to build a game style product which we could apply individual look and feel dependant on the brand. the idea was that the back end would need to be simple and not require much bespoke coding so the brands could be reactive and turn around quickly. Once the randomising product was built we then applied the flow and options for how this may work on the front end. This then became the the white label product we could adapt for any brand globally.
The Result
For Bobbi Brown Gifting Globe the user would press the reveal button which would then create the glitter burst animation and reveal the gift they had received on the next screen. (A gift when the user spends over a threshold)
The globe was created in 3D and we then dropped the products and design around this, the animation was coded reduce load time during the animation state. We ran this for a short period of time to generate excitement and urgency. This was very successful and was ran twice a year for Bobbi Brown.

Re-Using the Randomiser Product
The Randomizer product was then re-skinned to create games for Mac, Origins, Clinique and Smashbox all with their own unique experience and design but using the same logic and code.
